ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ ਸੋ ਕਤ ਡਰੈ ਜਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਸਮਾ੍ਰੈ ॥ ਡਰਿ ਡਰਿ ਪਚੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਵੇਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥ ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥ ਏਕੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੋਵਤ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੧॥ ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ ॥ ਕੋਟਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ ॥ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਸੈ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਾਸੈ ॥੨॥ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਸੇਈ ਭਗਤ ਜਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਣੇ ॥ ਜਮਕਾਲ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਨਿਕਾਣੇ ॥੩॥ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਕਹੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਣਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੪॥
ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ (ਮੌਤ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੋਂ ਡਰ ਕੇ) ਡਰ ਡਰ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ (ਰਾਖਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ), ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ) ਦਾ ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੀਵਨ-ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਥਾਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਅਖਵਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੩। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਬਾਰ (ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ । ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ । ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੩।੨੪।
धनासरी मः ५ सो कत डरै जि खसमु सम्ह्हारै ॥ डरि डरि पचे मनमुख वेचारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ सिर ऊपरि मात पिता गुरदेव ॥ सफल मूरति जा की निरमल सेव ॥ एकु निरंजनु जा की रासि ॥ मिलि साधसंगति होवत परगास ॥१॥ जीअन का दाता पूरन सभ ठाइ ॥ कोटि कलेस मिटहि हरि नाइ ॥ जनम मरन सगला दुखु नासै ॥ गुरमुखि जा कै मनि तनि बासै ॥२॥ जिस नो आपि लए लड़ि लाइ ॥ दरगह मिलै तिसै ही जाइ ॥ सेई भगत जि साचे भाणे ॥ जमकाल ते भए निकाणे ॥३॥ साचा साहिबु सचु दरबारु ॥ कीमति कउणु कहै बीचारु ॥ घटि घटि अंतरि सगल अधारु ॥ नानकु जाचै संत रेणारु ॥४॥३॥२४॥
Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl: One who contemplates his Lord and Master – why should he be afraid? The wretched self-willed manmukhs are ruined through fear and dread. ||1||Pause|| The Divine Guru, my mother and father, is over my head. His image brings prosperity; serving Him, we become pure. The One Lord, the Immaculate Lord, is our capital. Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, we are illumined and enlightened. ||1|| The Giver of all beings is totally pervading everywhere. Millions of pains are removed by the Lord’s Name. All the pains of birth and death are taken away from the Gurmukh, within whose mind and body the Lord dwells. ||2|| He alone, whom the Lord has attached to the hem of His robe, obtains a place in the Court of the Lord. They alone are devotees, who are pleasing to the True Lord. They are freed from the Messenger of Death. ||3|| True is the Lord, and True is His Court. Who can contemplate and describe His value? He is within each and every heart, the Support of all. Nanak begs for the dust of the Saints. ||4||3||24||
