ਟੋਡੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਰਿਦੈ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਫਲ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਪੂਜਾ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਤੁਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਜੋ ਜਨ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਕੀਨੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਬਾਹੁਰਿ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥ ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਸੁਨਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੰਠ ਮਝਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੩੦॥

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਂਭ ਰੱਖ । ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਚੋੜ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਪੁੰਨ-ਦਾਨ ਹੈ । ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ (ਸੇਵਕ) ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੁੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—) ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਤਨ (ਵਰਗੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ) ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਜਪ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ।੨।੧੧।੩੦।

हरि हरि चरन रिदै उर धारे ॥ सिमरि सुआमी सतिगुरु अपुना कारज सफल हमारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ पुंन दान पूजा परमेसरु हरि कीरति ततु बीचारे ॥ गुन गावत अतुल सुखु पाइआ ठाकुर अगम अपारे ॥१॥ जो जन पारब्रहमि अपने कीने तिन का बाहुरि कछु न बीचारे ॥ नाम रतनु सुनि जपि जपि जीवा हरि नानक कंठ मझारे ॥२॥११॥३०॥
Todee, Fifth Mehl:
I have enshrined the Lord’s Feet within my heart. Contemplating my Lord and Master, my True Guru, all my affairs have been resolved. ||1||Pause|| The merits of giving donations to charity and devotional worship come from the Kirtan of the Praises of the Transcendent Lord; this is the true essence of wisdom. Singing the Praises of the unapproachable, infinite Lord and Master, I have found immeasurable peace. ||1|| The Supreme Lord God does not consider the merits and demerits of those humble beings whom He makes His own. Hearing, chanting and meditating on the jewel of the Naam, I live; Nanak wears the Lord as his necklace. ||2||11||30||
